What Are Social Loops?

Overview

A social loop is a collection of social media posts that are published automatically on a recurring schedule. Instead of manually posting the same content over and over, you create a loop of items and Copy Company cycles through them — posting each one in order, then starting over from the beginning when it reaches the end.

Why Use Social Loops?

  • Consistency — Keep your social media accounts active without daily effort. Loops post on the schedule you set, so your audience always sees fresh content.
  • Time savings — Set up your content once and let it run. You can batch-create weeks or months of social posts in a single session.
  • Content recycling — Evergreen content like tips, quotes, and promotional posts can be reused. Most of your audience won’t see every post the first time around.
  • Multi-platform reach — A single loop can post to multiple platforms at once, saving you from duplicating work across each network.

How the Cycle Works

Each loop has a list of items arranged in order. When a scheduled time arrives, the loop picks the next item in the queue and publishes it. Once every item has been posted, the loop resets to the beginning and starts a new cycle. Copy Company tracks which cycle the loop is on and how many times each item has been posted.

Supported Platforms

Social loops can post to the following platforms:

  • Instagram — Requires an image or video with each post.
  • Facebook — Supports text, images, and video.
  • Pinterest — Requires an image with each post.
  • LinkedIn — Supports text, images, and video.
Tip: Not every item needs to qualify for every platform. Copy Company automatically checks each item against platform requirements and only posts it where it qualifies. You’ll see which platforms each item is eligible for on the loop detail page.
