What Are Social Posts?
Overview
A social post is a piece of platform-specific social media content that you manage from within Copy Company. Instead of switching between multiple apps, you can create, schedule, and publish posts to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok — all from one place.
Two Ways to Create Social Posts
There are two paths for creating social posts:
- AI-generated from blog posts — Select a published blog post and let the AI “atomize” it into platform-optimized social content. The AI tailors the format, length, and tone for each platform you choose.
- Standalone creation — Write a social post from scratch for a specific platform, without tying it to a blog post.
Supported Platforms
Social posts can be published to the following platforms:
- Instagram — Feed posts, stories, reels, and carousels.
- Facebook — Page posts with text, images, and video.
- Pinterest — Pins with images and descriptions.
- LinkedIn — Professional posts and articles.
- TikTok — Video content with descriptions and hashtags.
Post Formats
Depending on the platform, you can create posts in different formats:
- Feed — Standard posts that appear in followers’ feeds.
- Story — Ephemeral content (Instagram, Facebook).
- Reel — Short-form video (Instagram, TikTok).
- Carousel — Multi-image or multi-slide posts.
- Pin — Image-based content for Pinterest boards.
- Thread — Multi-part text posts (LinkedIn).
Status Lifecycle
Every social post moves through a status lifecycle:
- Draft — Created but not yet queued for publishing. You can freely edit drafts.
- Queued — Marked as ready to publish but not yet scheduled to a specific time.
- Scheduled — Assigned a specific date and time for publishing.
- Published — Successfully posted to the target platform.
- Failed — Something went wrong during publishing. You can review the error and retry.
Tip: Use the AI generation feature to quickly create social content from your blog posts. It’s the fastest way to repurpose your long-form content across multiple platforms.
